Church Weekend Away

 Brunel Manor - Feb 2008

Our Story

We began as a church plant from Longfleet Baptist Church in 1992, meeting in a scout hut on Adastral Road, opposite Ashdown school.

In 2004 we entered into a formal sharing agreement with St Paul's Anglican Church and the Diocese of Salisbury to share St Paul's Church building in Culliford Crescent (Multimap/ Streetmap). We continually seek to develop stronger links with St Paul's Church in joint initiatives.

Our new pastor, Revd Ben Lucas, was inducted and ordained in Sept 2008 - see our pastor's page for more details. Ben's wife, Ez, was also inducted and ordained as youth pastor. Our first pastor, Revd John Taylor, was placed with us as a student from Moorlands Bible College in 1997. John was later ordained, and he and his wife Aldina led our church until they felt God call them to new pastures in 2007.

We are a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the Evangelical Alliance, North Poole Group of Churches, and Churches Together in Poole.

We keenly support Release International, Tear Fund, Compassion UK, and the PACE Trust (in local schools) and Routes to Roots (local homelessness charity).
